I am first generation Cuban American and my entire childhood I have been fed by true Cuban women, who put love and care into what they are creating. I have found it hard to find Cuban cuisine to replicate such a taste of home. And once I stopped eating meat, I truly dreamed of a place that would assist me in my quest for home. I am so happy to say that Today I found home right in my backyard. The owner of Kuba, has created such an authentic, true to her roots, one of a kind Cuban menu. Watching her make the food and tell us how everything, get this...even the sofrito is made from scratch! Made my heart shine so bright with gratitude and appreciate for such a queen! Beautiful vegan options and cortaditos to end my quest and accept that I have found what I have been looking for. I am so grateful and so blessed! Thank you

Hello friends it's me again back at it with some cuban goodness. First I'd like to say it's always a pleasure seeing Felicia and George , both of them always have the good vibes. Secondly the Cuban is freaking massive and it comes with your choice of sides. The Cuban itself was very good although I wish I had just a tad more pickles !! Lol I have a big appetite and I was content with just half. I opted for the tostones as a side because they are cooked with garlic which is something I've never had before. I think the added garlic is a great way to add to the usual tostones which mostly come with salt . I do think a little aioli sauce would take it up another level but they were really good by themselves :) Last but not least the guava cream cheese tres leches ..... yes three of the best things on the planet combined into a great dessert. The balance of flavors and ratios were perfect, just enough guava and cream cheese so you can taste everything individually it's a pretty "sweet" way to cap off your meal pun intended . I'm looking forward too my next visit at KUBA !!! Cheers :D

Located inside a multi-business building, I was excited to try out this new spot since they've moved from Armature Works. Very limited parking, we had to park across the street. There is an outside walk-up window you can order from or go inside. There are about 4 outdoor covered picnic tables and only one inside. There was only 2 people working inside other than the one chef. Seemed to be pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered our drinks and were told to sit down and the food would be brought out to us. It was about a 30min wait for food but well worth it when it finally arrived. The ultimo sandwich meat was tender and juicy. The bread was nicely toasted. The tostones were fried to perfection and Nicely salted. I do wish they were served with a dipping sauce though. Had to get a mango sangria and it was refreshing and not too sweet.

Wow just wow ! This place is tucked into a little center with limited parking and no eating indoors due to Covid-19. They offer outside seating but when I went that day it was freezing and Raining. The food is a little more expensive for a lunch than average I would say, with it being about 14$ dollars before tip. Now about the food: I got the lobster empanada and it was pretty big, a bit larger than my hand itself. The first few bites were the yummy empanada breading and then we get to the good stuff. It was warm lobster with corn which was a perfect combo. I've never had manchego cheese so I didn't know what to expect from that taste wise. It was melted and creamy with a bit off a pungent after taste that paired with the chorizo. I will say I didn't taste to much of the chorizo unless it was less spicy than usual. I tend to not handle spicy foods well but this wasn't spicy at all. The minute I pulled it out of the bag it didn't last longer than 10 mins before I ate all of it. My boyfriend got the Cuban sandwich and it was one of the best ones I've honestly had. Living in Florida, especially near Ybor we have the opportunity to indulge in many delicious Cubans. This is definitely a top 10#. The salami, ham and pulled pork were top of the notch delicious. I would eat this more often if I could. The bread was perfectly pressed and I totally recommend everyone come and try it at least once.

Wow--I could stop there but I won't. We moved to St Pete last week and after unpacking and organizing, we were craving some delicious local eats. My husband had seen this place on Instagram and saved it and we knew we had to try it. Thank God we live super close because I will be going back often. The staff and Chef Felicia were so kind and welcoming and the food was absolutely out of this world. I ordered the vegetarian empanada and I was so impressed. It was incredibly flavorful and the pastry was divine. My husband had the lobster empanada and a Cubano and loved both of them. We also got some tostones that were cooked and salted to perfection and I want to DRINK whatever the herby green dipping sauce was. We're so looking forward to coming back and trying more!
